2-Day Kazbegi Cultural Tour takes you to one of the most spectacular mountain regions of Georgia - Kazbegi, located in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of eastern Georgia.
This 2-day journey offers an unforgettable experience through the Greater Caucasus Mountains, where dramatic peaks, deep valleys, and alpine landscapes create some of the most breathtaking scenery in the country.
During the tour, you will explore the main highlights of the Kazbegi region, including panoramic mountain viewpoints, scenic gorges, waterfalls, and important cultural and historical landmarks.
A key highlight is the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church, dramatically located at an altitude of 2,170 meters with stunning views of Mount Kazbek. You will also discover traditional mountain villages, crystal-clear rivers, and untouched nature that defines this region.

In the morning, you will depart from Tbilisi towards Kazbegi, driving along the scenic Georgian Military Highway, one of the most iconic routes in the Caucasus.
Your first stop will be the Ananuri Fortress Complex, a well-preserved architectural ensemble of the XVI-XVII centuries, featuring defensive towers and churches overlooking the turquoise waters of Zhinvali Reservoir.
Continue towards Gudauri, a popular mountain resort known for its panoramic views of the Greater Caucasus Mountains.
On the way, you will visit Sno Village, famous for its monumental stone sculptures of prominent Georgian figures, created by a local artist, adding a unique cultural touch to the region.
Afterward, you will arrive in Stepantsminda, the administrative center of Kazbegi. Here, you will enjoy the atmosphere of this charming mountain town and admire breathtaking views of Mount Kazbek, one of Georgia’s highest and most iconic peaks.

After breakfast, you will head to Gergeti Trinity Church, located at 2200 m above sea level. This 14th-century landmark offers spectacular panoramic views of Mount Kazbek and the surrounding alpine landscape.
After visiting the church, continue towards Dariali Gorge, a dramatic mountain canyon that has historically served as a natural gateway between Georgia and Russia, known for its steep cliffs and impressive scenery.
From here, you will take an easy hike to the Gveleti Waterfalls, set in a beautiful natural environment and surrounded by rocky slopes and greenery.
On the way back to Tbilisi, you will stop at a traditional Georgian restaurant to enjoy authentic local cuisine and experience Georgian hospitality.
In the evening, return to Tbilisi.
